Scottish Gaelic Beginner’s Class (Springfield, VA)
Sunday, November 13th, 1pm to 5pm
Moine will be teaching a beginner’s “conversation” class, focused on pronunciation, common/everyday phrases, and the local resources available to those who wish to learn the language of the Gaels. The class will be rounded out with learning puirt a’ bhèil (“tunes of the
mouth”) and pibrach (a pipe tune that is sung). Attendees will leave with the ability to hold a simple conversation in Scottish Gaelic and at least three songs. This low pressure and supportive environment is a perfect introduction to the language of the Highlands and islands of

These gatherings often end with a traditional song and storytelling circle–come prepared with your favorite story or song in English (or any language) to share.
