DocAbby
Hi there,
I’m Abby—a retired naturopathic doctor and herbalist, as well as a wife, mother, and grandmother. I live in the Piedmont region of North Carolina, where I enjoy gardening, cooking, hiking, whittling, crocheting, reading, and writing.
My spiritual path began in childhood and has taken me through several traditions in search of depth, integrity, and lived wisdom. After two decades within Christianity, I stepped away fifteen years ago and entered a contemplative season that allowed me to reassess, study, and rebuild my spiritual foundation with intention and discernment.
For the past seven years, I have been engaged in formal Druid study through the Order of Bards, Ovates & Druids (OBOD), where I was particularly drawn to the Ovate current and its emphasis on deep listening, ancestral awareness, and relationship with the land. Druidry has provided both structure and healing, helping me cultivate a disciplined yet experiential practice rooted in nature spirituality.
My broader practice integrates Druidry with Daoist philosophy, Qigong, and Ayurvedic principles—each offering perspectives on balance, energy, and cyclical living. As a former clinician, I remain especially interested in the intersection of ecology, health, and spiritual development.
I value thoughtful dialogue, careful study, and grounded practice, and I look forward to learning from and contributing to this community. ![]()

Abby
