I first joined the AODA 4 years ago & since then, I have worked to build up my own solitary practice while learning more about druidry. I’ve begun practicing the requirements for a Druid Candidate, because I feel strongly that this is a path for me.

A nature-based spirituality that provides me the clear guidelines for exercising & exploring freedom to create my own personal, imminent, and living religion?

Please sign me up.

For so many years, I’ve been a seeker of truth, but believed there was no place where I could really fit.

I’ve also discovered a local UU WomenSpirit Circle to celebrate the Sabbats & perform Sabbat rituals with. I even co-lead our Litha 2024 ritual & it was beautiful! I’m really proud of that because I’ve never done such a thing before

I’ve been a good old-fashioned solitary pagan since I was about 14, although I grew up in a very prohibitive Southern US Christian family. I’m originally from the Appalachian Mountains of WV & in that beautiful setting the Earth, the Sun, & the Moon have called to me for as long as I have memory.

Over the course of the past 4 years, I’ve made a changes in my life & my lifestyle such that I will be able to join AODA & GCC meetings, be active on the forum, & continue to practice the Sun, Moon, & Earth paths.

I would absolutely love to be initiated soon & begin work on my candidate curriculum in earnest, as well as to connect with some other new members & a mentor or 2 to help me along the path. I also hope to begin attending study group meetings & plan to look for one on the forum:four_leaf_clover::pray::green_heart:

I’m currently re-reading & studying John Michael Green’s “The Druidry Handbook” & have designated a bookshelf for all of the druidry books that I will surely acquire to sit amongst all of my other favorite pagan books, collected over the past 20 years.

Some of my interests include gardening, tending & propagating my indoor succulents, hiking, camping, & being anywhere on or near water alone with my husband, and crafting: crochet, cross-stitch, Celtic wire-wrapping of crystals and other stones that my husband finds & tumbles :crystal_ball::sparkles:

I enjoy reading Tarot. Ive been reading for myself for about 14 years now :broom::black_joker:

My husband & I both love loving our 3 spoiled doggies: we currently have a deerhead chihuahua, an applehead chihuahua, and a chiweenie (a chihuahua/dachshund mix) aged 4 - 6 1/2 years, an 8-year-old potbelly pig named Sophie, and a couple of hens.

After I complete my current craft projects (plural), I am preparing to sew my own druid tunic & crochet my own woolen robe. I am also an avid reader & aside from paganism, buddhism, druidry, & gnosticism, I love history. I’m oddly obsessed with the Midieval through the Tudor/Renaissance periods in England (my family now knows more stories about the Plantagenets than they ever wanted to)… but that’s enough about me.

I can’t wait to connect with some of you! :herb:
