GOOD MORNING! I am hosting my first Autumn Equinox gathering for my women’s group. I had been wanting to gather for our river to send her healing and knew this was perfect for it.
Do you have any tips? Anything you love to include? Any favorite resources?
*Also, we’re in Belmont, NC, if any ladies would like to join, I can send you more information.
I used to conduct a river blessing every year along the Rio Grande…for me it was important to honor the spirit/presence of the water as the lifeblood of the land and the people who live in the area. Without the water there would be no life and no people able to live on the land.
I would also make a small offering to send upon the water, or throw in…something bio friendly of course. But it was important for me to make a personal connection with an object that I know is still beneath her water.
@cschosser thank you! @nicola.hutchison So I have a group called Sacred Sisters Calling. It’s online and also has monthly in person. Everyone brings a munchie to share. This time I did extra food and got some stuff to do Mocktails to go a little extra special for the Equinox. We also did a sound healing circle. Every one chooses an instrument and this time my friend also sang too. It was really beautiful. I was also called to give each one a blessing. We went around the circle and each shared what we’re grateful for looking back on the year and how we’ve grown and healed. We also shared what we’re looking forward to in the coming year and what we’re wanting to learn and how we’re wanting to heal, grow, all of that.
We also walked down to the river, we had flowers as offerings. we sang walking down the path towards the river and then sent her healing and blessings. It was really special. I had my books out too with the pages marked at all of the Autumn Equinox references for the ladies to check out. None of the others are on the Druid path but they all enjoy learning. I think I covered it all! lol
I so enjoyed reading about your experiences and wanted to check in post Helene and see how you are doing. I hope you are well and escaped the worst of the damage. Sending you and yours peace and love.
yes, thank you. it was wild. I am in the mountains now helping clean up my parents property. So grateful it is all just outside mess. Their house is fine. At our house we were good but got a front row seat to watching full docks with multiple boats still attached just floating down the river. It was crazy. our house and everything was good though. we didnt even lose power in the end. it just flashed all day. Very grateful and feeling very protected!
