Not sure if the Order is doing this ritual this year. I’ll be performing a solitary Hearth Ritual on December 21 before the solitary Winter Solstice/Alban Arthan Ceremony if anyone wants to spiritually join in solidarity.

Yes! We are always doing these rituals, but we don’t have a zoom or anything for them. I will also be doing this ritual on the 21st :).

I was doing some reading on these rituals and I noticed a few inconsistencies on the related web pages. It seems that the Hearth ritual used to be at Fall Equinox? Some of the text still states this.
On the Rituals for the Earth – Ancient Order of Druids in America page, the second sentence states “The fourth ceremony, at the Fall Equinox…”
On the Winter Solstice Hearth Ritual – Ancient Order of Druids in America page, the ‘Beyond the Ritual’ section at the end still refers to Fall Equinox.

When we first started the Rituals for the Earth, we had two rituals, a solar tree ritual for the summer solstice and the waterway ritual for the winter solstice. However, when we expanded the Rituals for the Earth to include a spring Air ritual, then it made more sense ecologically and ritually to perform the waterway ritual for the autumn equinox and to develop and perform the Hearth ritual at the winter solstice.
Thanks for noting the need for fixing the inconsistencies in the rituals as posted on the website, so we can make the needed changes!
